This is a small world where I put together my ideas into a thought. A thought then written down by the 'sword' of my hands. I'm a believer of God. Hereafter, be my witness, just what have I done, within this blog.

Islam, Muslim & Kafir

FAQ : How would you explain this terms: Islam, Muslims, & Kafir.

Answer :

For those who asked, May Allah bless you.

There are many religion in this world and every each of them got their name. Some are named after a person (e.g. Christianity-Jesus Christ, Buddhism-Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, Confucianism-Confucius/Kung Fu Tse, etc). Some are named after a tribe (e.g. Judaism-tribe of Judah). Some are named after a geographical location (e.g. Hinduism-Indus River).

It is important to mention that, the name of these religions is not mentioned in the Scripture of the religion.

Islam was not named after any person, tribe or place. It was given by God (Himself) in the Quran:
"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you ISLAM as your religion" (Quran 5:3)

Islam is an Arabic word which is derived along with other Arabic words such as Salaam, Salim, and Aslama, from the same root word. Salaam means peace, harmony, tranquility, calm, and serenity. Salim means authentic, sound, accurate, and free from defects. Aslama means to willingly submit or obey by sincere and willing obedience to Almighty God.

Muslim means, anyone who truly and fully submits and obeys the one and only true God. Going by this definition, all the creatures are 'Muslim' by their obedient character. The heart is Muslim by their character to pump blood to all parts of our body. The brain is Muslim by their character to think and instruct our body to move and react in every situations. Just imagine how this two main organ in our body suddenly decided to disobey what has been ordained by its Creator, we will enter the state or Cardiogenic Shock and Brain Death respectively!.

Unlike other creations of God, we have been blessed by the faculty of intellect, and with it, the freewill to choose either to obey or disobey God. When we choose to obey God we are Muslim, and when we choose to disobey God, we are becoming Kafir. Merely claiming to believe in God does not necessarily qualify a person to be called a Muslim. One need to demonstrate his/her belief by obedience and acts of worship.

Islam was not founded by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) 1400 years ago. Instead, Islam has been the religion since the creation of the first man and has always been the one and only religion preached by all the Prophets of God, from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and the final Prophet of God, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah upon them all).

"Say, we believe in Allah and that which has been revealed to us, and that which was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and to other Prophets, from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit." (Quran 2:136)

"Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian, but an upright Muslim" (Quran 3:67)

"The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - that which We sent by inspiration to you - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses and Jesus;namely, that you should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein:to those who worship other than God, hard is the (way) to which you call them" (Quran 42:13)

Needless to say, all the Prophets of God were Muslim and the Religion they preached was Islam.

Love Like You

Love Like You

Grandpa Sam was working in the garden, watering the plants that surround his house. There were a couple of birds stayed in the Grandpa Sam's tree a yard away from where he was standing. Grandpa Sam made a small wooden bird house for them and he did fed the birds with some fruits. That was very kind of him.

Likewise, Aaron was waiting his chance to ask Grandpa Sam a few brilliant questions. He walked slowly and approach his Grandpa Sam slowly, quietly. This time, he successfully sneaked behind Grandpa Sam.

Aaron : "Grandpa Sam!"
Grandpa Sam : "Owh my god!"
Aaron : "Yes!, I just made Grandpa Sam surprised"
Grandpa Sam : "Nope, I have expected you to do that earlier on. Haha. Nice trick huh. So, What do you want from me Aaron?"
Aaron : "I want to ask one simple question. Our neighbour said that this garden was all your work. You made this garden looked beautiful. Do you really like gardening?, because you did not seem so, hehe"

Grandpa Sam put all his gardening tools aside and pull his grandson's hand to the center of the garden and asked him to sit down there.

Grandpa Sam : "I am going to make you some tea, you just wait here and watch the birds, ok?"
Aaron : "Easy for me!"

Few minutes later Grandpa Sam join Aaron with 2 cups of tea. One for him, and one for his grandson. The evening was getting cloudy. They had a few sip of tea before started back the conversation.

Grandpa Sam : "Tell me Aaron, what did you see?"
Aaron : "I saw the a bird went in and out of their house. The other one was inside the house. That one was not going anywhere. It will be boring if it was me."
Grandpa Sam : "Haha Aaron. Nice joke. Every time you were boring, you will came showering me lots of questions, did not you?"
Aaron : "Yeah I did, you are my Grandpa Sam did not you?"
Grandpa Sam : "Yeah, yeah. Haha. Anyway, let me tell you a secret. Do you know I had a wife, your Grandma?"
Aaron : "I do not know I had a Grandma, where is she?"

Silence.

Grandpa Sam : "She died a long time ago before you were born. She was my wife and my love. This garden was her doing, i just continued her work. It was my way of continue expressing my love for her. My love will not die even she went away earlier than me. I was so sad at that time, but when I saw the garden had not been managed for months, I felt that she completely disappeared from my life. So when i started taking care of this garden, I sort of felt her presence.."
Aaron : "I am so sorry Grandpa Sam, I did not know what to say"
Grandpa Sam : "It is okay, I just want to share you this story. Anyway, you will ask me someday even I am not telling you now, haha"
Aaron : "Hehe, so what is the connection with the birds Grandpa Sam?"

Grandpa Sam took another sip of tea before continuing his story. For him, to answer any questions from this kid, he had to think a lot and gave him an example.

Grandpa Sam : "Love manifests in all living things in this world. You know why?. Because God created it to be that way. And He created all the living things their couple. You may get married with a nice, sweet women someday, and I have had your Grandma. The birds are a couple too, the one that went in and out is the male bird. It went out to search for foods for the female bird. Why is it so?. The female bird had to take care of their 'children'. So their action actually manifests their love!."
Aaron : "Oh I see, that is how love works!"

Aaron : "Grandpa Sam, I want to love like you, I want to be a good husband like you, and I want to have a grandson like me!"
Grandpa Sam : "You sure will suffer mentally because of your grandson!, haha"

O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
(QS49 :13)

A Stone Softer Than A Heart

A Stone Softer Than A Heart
The stones in water

One rainy day, there was a child with his grandfather lived together far east of this country. Both of them sat on the floor of the doorway, facing together but not saying anything at all. It was not that they had argument or what, but the grandfather wanted to be silent or otherwise his beloved grandchildren would not stop talking or asking him questions. It was better for him not to start the conversation at all. Silence.

"Grandpa...". The boy started opening his mouth. "Oh boy, you want to ask something again.." said silently within the grandfather's heart. "Can I ask you something, please?". Urged the boy, named Aaron. Grandfather Samuel replied "Yes for sure you can, you Grandpa should answer anything that bothers you. So what is your question Aaron?"

"What is the differences between stone and water?. Which one is stronger?. Can water beat the stone?" asked Aaron. "That is not a question young man, it is a 3 combined questions in one breath!". The grandfather giggled when it came to the questions, "What a bright grandson I have ever had" the heart sounded.

"Here is the answer, they both are two different entities and both have their own strengths. Water is something that can be everything, it can turns into an ice or it can vaporizes into the air. Am I right?. You can even make out a snowman out of the snow. Some people they even build castle out of the giant ice packs. Water is essential for human body, without them we will die from being thirsty and dehydrated. The stone is completely opposite, it has hard consistency, it cannot change its shape, it is less useful for us and some people feel pain when they stumbled upon it." the grandfather slowly composed the answer.

"The stone may looked like it is really hard that it is even harder to break it, but water can distorts it." the grandfather continued. Aaron getting confused and quickly delivered new question, "How is it a stone can be distorted by the water?".

The grandfather Samuel took a look on the surrounding and begun thinking a demonstrable answer for Aaron.

"You see a small rock there, just near the biggest vast in the garden. Take it and bring it back to me..", he replied. The grandson quickly went through the rain without even thinking it was raining heavily and picked the stone. He then ran back to the grandfather with the rock in his hand. "I did not even finished my words yet Aaron, you should take the umbrella first you know, haha", the grandfather really cannot understand Aaron's eagerness on learning new things.

"Take the rock and put it right under that falling rain water from the roof. Put it where the most rain water fall" instructed the grandfather. "Okay then, I will put it right here" the boy put the stone near the corner of the house. "Then what?" he eagerly asked back the grandfather. "You will have to wait" simply replied by the grandfather.

3 week passed by. Raining almost everyday.

On a calm evening, a question break the silence. "Grandpa Sam, what happen to the rock we put under the rain water?" the small voice of Aaron interrupted his grandfather's work. "Go out and take a look of yourself, you will find the answer" he replied.

After a few seconds, he ran towards the grandfather and happily shouted "Grandpa Sam, the stone did distorted, it is so unbelievable!". "Son, one small drop of water alone would not have the strength to distort the stone, but if it is a lot of water, it can be a big force to give such an effect to the stone. Strength is everyone's, you just have to look where is yours!" the grandfather replied.

And indeed, there are stones out of which rivers gush forth, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which split asunder so that water flows from them, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which fall down for fear of Allah (QS 2:75)

"Some stones are softer than our hearts"

Reduced!

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt (Peace Be Upon You)

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

I went for a lecture conducted by a famous politician in Malaysia Ustaz Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man last week. He discussed one hadith that was really made me interested. As i don't have the book that he discussed every tuesday's night, i don't really grasp every words uttered, especially the 'matan' hadith.

But the very words that grasp my attention is a part of the hadith's translation. "Those who have free time/leisure time, and yet he didn't remember Allah (zikruAllah), he'd been 'reduced' (fitratun)..". He did discussed a lot on the word fitratun or literally translated in English as 'reduced'. He said that we have our own lifetimes, and these times shorten each and every seconds. It's a waste not to remember Allah (zikruAllah) when you have the free or leisure time, as we cannot turn the time back.

I don't wanna regret later at The Day of Judgement, when i don't have enough 'savings'. So, writing here is one of the ways for me to remember Allah. May Allah count my effort as a good deed.

My Regards,
I'm A Muslim

Plan

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah! (all praises upon Allah). I finally passed my final examinations and InsyaAllah (god's willing) for next September I'll be 4th year medical student. I didn't expected such a gift from Allah as I myself didn't study enough and also didn't have enough qualities of what it takes to be clinical years student.

I had planned on improving myself for this semester break in term of ad-dunya wal akhirah (both this life in this world and hereafter) preparations. Honestly, i did wanted to spend my entire 2nd phase of medical education focusing in gaining sufficient knowledge to be a good servant to Allah as well as a good daie'. InsyaAllah (god's willing) for this 5 whole months, it will be my precious time before entering such a havoc clinical years in medicine.

Oh Allah, i know it is a bit late to express my gratitudes, but i knew you heard me in my prayers. Please guide me even more oh Allah, as I am a forgetful being, and I had always, strayed away form Your path. With Your Guidance I Seek Assurance/Serenity.

Regards,
I'm A Muslim.

The Believers Are Tested

(Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe,'' and will not be tested.) (29:2)

This is a rebuke in the form of a question, meaning that Allah will inevitably test His believing servants according to their level of faith, as it recorded in the authentic Hadith:

«أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ بَلَاءً الْأَنْبِيَاءُ، ثُمَّ الصَّالِحُونَ، ثُمَّ الْأَمْثَلُ فَالْأَمْثَلُ، يُبْتَلَى الرَّجُلُ عَلَى حَسَبِ دِينِهِ، فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي دِينِهِ صَلَابَةٌ زِيدَ لَهُ فِي الْبَلَاء»
(The people most severly tested are the Prophets, then the righteous, then the next best and the next best. A man will be tested in accordance with the degree of his religious commitment; the stonger his religious commitment, the stronger his test.)

This Ayah is like the Ayah,

(Do you think that you will enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who fought (in His cause) and knowing those who are the patient) (3:142)

There is a similar Ayah in Surat At-Tawbah. And Allah says:

(Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, "When (will come) the help of Allah'' Yes! Certainly, the help of Allah is near!) (2:214)

Allah says here:

(And We indeed tested those who were before them so that Allah will know those who are true, and will know those who are liars.)

Meaning, He will make know which are sincere in their claim to be believers from those who are lying. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, knows what has happened in the past and what is yet to come, and He knows how that which will not happen would have happened if it were to happen. All the Imams of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah are agreed on this. This is the view of Ibn `Abbas and others concerning phrases such as the Ayah,

(only that We know) (2:143).

Meaning, only to see - because seeing has to do with what is there, but knowledge is broader than seeing, since it includes what is not present as well as what is.

(Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrip Us Evil is that which they judge!)

Means, those who are not believers should not think that they will escape such trials and tests, for ahead of them lies a greater and more severe punishment. Allah says:

(Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrip Us)

Meaning, "escape'' from Us.
(Evil is that which they judge!)
What they think is evil.

Thus We Pray

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

I feel that currently I'm losing my grip on everything . Guide me. Give me the strength I need to face this trial oh Allah. You clearly said in Quran ;

(And your Lord said: "Call upon Me, I will answer you. Verily, those who scorn My worship they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!'') (Mu'min : 60)

So please oh Allah, hear my prayer, forgive me upon what I've done, please accept my good deeds, and give me what i need the most, not what i always want.

Your servant,
I'm A Muslim.

Allah Knows

when u are tired and discouraged from fruitless efforts..

Allah knows how hard you have tried.

when you’ve cried so long and your heart is in anguish…

Allah has counted your tears.

if you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by..

Allah is waiting for you.

when you’re lonely and your friends are too busy even for a phone call..

Allah is by your side.

when you think you’ve tried everything and don’t know where to turn..

Allah has a solution.

when nothing makes sense and you are confused or frustrated..

Allah has the answer.

if suddenly your outlook is brighter and you find trace of hope..

Allah has whispered to you.

when things are going well and you have much to be thankful for..

Allah has blessed you.

when something joyful happens and you are filled with awe..

Allah has smiled upon you.

when you have a purpose to fulfil and a dream to follow..

Allah has opened your eyes and called you by name.

remember that wherever you are or whatever you are facing..

ALLAH KNOWS.

Let Allah Be Your 1st Love

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Before this, i always let 'Love' to be undefined. This way, it will be easy enough for me to find the real meaning of 'Love'. I'll be happy if 'Love' is defined as i wanted it to be and as an advantage for me is that, I'll never strayed away from my own defined 'Love'.

Few days ago, I had a chance (alhamdulillah, praises be to Allah) to go for a forum. This forum specifically discussed about 'Love'. As always, i just wanted to hear what the panelists would say about 'Love' and how would they defined 'Love'. Interestingly, they introduced few meanings of 'Love' from a lot of resources and what kept me to the end of the discussion is that one of panelist said, he defined 'Love' as a two different, realistic categories : 1st is 'Loves' that been pleased by Allah, and the 2nd is vice versa.

Really, 'Love' is something that can be defined by anyone. What is left is that, is the way we define 'Love' blessed by Allah?. If yes, 'Love' should brought you the the path that Allah pleased upon it. Let 'Love' comes naturally, in the end we should see the one and only true and pure 'Love' is the 'Love' to Allah swt. If it is not, it is still not to late to start loving rather than not to be loved by the Creator of 'Love'.

Ease Me Owh Allah

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Alhamdulillah (praises be to Allah), Allah made my life that way. He was the one whom made my whole life written, destined upon anything he wanted me to be. As I believe it that way, I do hope, that what destined for me doesn't make me become far from You. Instead, I really hope it does make me nearer to You oh Allah.

Alhamdulillah, at hard time like this, I always feel your existence around me. You did watch over me, You did heard me and my prayer, You did been near to me. I kind of love this situation, where we been nearest to each other, as between God and his humble servants.

"Owh Allah, comfort me. Make it easy for me to go through this life. Ease me on my way of being a good Muslim physician. Forgive me upon what I had done in the past. As You are the One and only, You alone I worship and You alone I ask for help."

Ultimate Love!

Prophet Muhammad's Last Sermon

Prophet Muhammad's Last Sermon
Date delivered
: 632 A.C., 9th day of Dhul al Hijjah, 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat.

After praising, and thanking God, he said: "O People, listen well to my words, for I do not know whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Treat others justly so that no one would be unjust to you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. God has forbidden you to take usury (riba), therefore all riba obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital , however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer inequity. God has judged that there shall be no riba and that all the riba due to `Abbas ibn `Abd al Muttalib shall henceforth be waived.

Every right arising out of homicide in pre-Islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that I waive is that arising from the murder of Rabi`ah ibn al Harith ibn `Abd al Muttalib.

O Men, the Unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calendar in order to make permissible that which God forbade, and to forbid that which God has made permissible. With God the months are twelve in number. Four of them are sacred, three of these are successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Sha`ban. Beware of the devil, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights over your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under God's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Treat your women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers. It is your right and they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste...

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship God (The One Creator of the Universe), perform your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your financial obligation (zakah) of your wealth. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before God (The Creator) and you will answer for your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, NO PROPHET OR MESSENGER WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I am leaving you with the Book of God (the QUR'AN) and my SUNNAH (the life style and the behavioral mode of the Prophet), if you follow them you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness O God, that I have conveyed your message to your people.

At-Tawbah : 51 (And in Allah let the believers put their trust)

Say: "Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our protector.'' And in Allah let the believers put their trust. (9:51)
(Say),
to them,
(Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us.)
for we are under His control and decree,
(He is our Mawla.),
Master and protector,
(And in Allah let the believers put their trust)
and we trust in Him. Verily, He is sufficient for us and what an excellent guardian.

Poem Of My Heart : Lonely

Oh God,

I feel empty, I feel lonely,
I feel I'd been lost in my own reflection,
Why did i feel that I'm far away from serenity,
Slowly, I look for, why did i feel such emptiness,
Might be I'd done something wrong,
Might be I'd lost somewhere in my life,
Might it be, and might it be more reasons again.

Oh God, why did i feel such an emptiness,
I really wanna cry, i regretted myself, why did this happen,
Until when i will be like this Oh God,
This restless never edged.

Let me back to You, to the Light that should lit up my life,
Oh God, I really, really feel empty, lonely,
Alone,
I don't wanna be like this anymore,
This restless never edged,
I want your light, I want your guidance,
So, lit up my life again.

Perfection

And Islam is PERFECT, Muslims are NOT. Nor are ANY humans or their ideas or institutions or politics. Perfection is the quality of GOD alone

Ar-Rum : 22-23 - Happy Chinese New Year!

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt (Peace be upon you)

All praises to our God, The One and only. He is The Eternal, The Absolute. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.

For this festive season, I'm wishing you very prosperous and happiest Chinese New Year celebrating with your loved ones. Happy Chinese New Year!. This is a special entry for my Chinese friend, of what was stated in holy Quran regarding our differences. Hope you enjoy it!.
And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colors. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge. - And among His signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking His bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen. (Ar-Rum 30:22-23)
Allah said:
(And among His signs)
indicating His magnificent power.
(is the creation of the heavens and the earth,)
The heavens with their vast height and brightness and beauty of the stars and planets, and the earth with its density and its mountains, valleys, seas, plains, animals and trees.
(and the difference of your languages)
So, we see that some speak Arabic, and the Tatars have their own language, as do the Georgians, Romans, Franks, Berbers, Tou Couleurs (of Sudan), Ethiopians, Indians, Persians, Slavs, Khazars, Armenians, Kurds and others. Only Allah knows the variety of languages spoken among the sons of Adam. And the difference of their colors mentioned here refers to their appearance, for all the people of this world, from the time that Allah created Adam, and until the Hour begins, each of them has two eyes, two eyebrows, a nose, a forehead, a mouth and two cheeks, but none of them looks like another; there is bound to be some difference in posture, appearance and speech, whether it is apparent or is hidden and can only be noticed with careful observation. Each face has its own characteristics and does not look like another; even if there was a group of people who looked alike, having a beautiful or ugly characteristic in common, there would still be a difference between one person and the next.
(Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.)
(And among His signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty.)
Among His signs is the cycle of sleep that He has created during the night and the day, when people are able to cease moving and rest, so that their tiredness and exhaustion will go away. And He has enabled you to seek to earn a living and to travel about during the day, this is the opposite of sleep.
(Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen.)
meaning, understand.

Hud : 49 - For my Muslim's Brothers and Sisters in Egypt

- picture from http://english.aljazeera.net/ -

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

(This is of the news of the Unseen which We reveal unto you; neither you nor your people knew it before this. So be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for those who have Taqwa.) (11:49)

Allah, the Exalted, says to His Prophet concerning these stories and their like,
(of the news of the Unseen)
from the information of the unseen of the past. Allah revealed it to you (the Prophet ) in the way that it occurred, as if he witnessed it himself.
(which We reveal unto you;)
This means, "We teach it to you (Muhammad) as revelation from Us to you.''
(neither you nor your people knew it before this.)
This means that neither you (Muhammad ) nor anyone of your people, have any knowledge of this. This is so that no one who rejects you can say that you learned it from him. Rather, it was Allah Who informed you of it in conformity with the true situation (of the story), just as the Books of the Prophets who were before you testify to. Therefore, you should be patient with the rejection of your people and their harming you. For verily, We shall help you and surround you with Our aid. Then, We will make the (good) end for you and those who follow you in this life and the Hereafter. This is what We did with the Messengers when We helped them against their enemies.
(Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe.)
Allah also said,
(And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our servants, the Messengers, that they verily, would be made triumphant.) (37:171-172)
Then, Allah says,
(So be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for those who have Taqwa.)

"For my Muslim's brothers and sisters in Egypt, strengthen your belief, and be patient. Surely, the good end is for those who have Taqwa."

We Do Care : Egypt In Turmoil

 - For my brother that i loved so much, may Allah be by your side -

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful.

This picture dated 17th September 2010, a day before he left to pursue his study on medicine, at Cairo University, Egypt. He was the bravest person i ever knew, to take steps farther ahead from me, and went for over-sea's study.

Just got his forwarded message from our beloved Ummi :

"Assalamualaikum, Umi, Ayah. I'm fine here. Nothing happen yet at Fustat (an area around Cairo). Cause here is not an administrative area, so nothing much happen now. I'm not so sure about Malaysia's embassy decision, we might sent back home, might not. So, please don't worry to much about me."
Muhamad Nur'azri Mohd Hisam, Fustat, Cairo

For a decision made by our beloved Ummi to let my brother went to Cairo under the JPA scholarship, it made me somehow felt a bit relieved. JPA do sent Malaysian student to study for bachelor of medicine and dental in few universities in few Middle East countries. My brother was selected to study at Cairo University, Egypt. Others were sent to Mansourah University, Mansaorah, Egypt and also Jordan.

Right the situation at Cairo is still under control, but who knows, the protest against President Hosni Mubarak spread to another area. Mega protests were planned. Hopefully, the protests end peacefully with President Hosni Mubarak overthrown from his '30 years-old' chair!.

"Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!'' (2:201)
Let us together pray for their safety (Malaysia's students and all of Muslims there).

With Allah, Everything Possible

- i wanna share this 'love' like he does -
Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Few weeks back, a forum was held entitled "Challenges Of Our New Brother" (literally translated). The speakers were those who reverted to Islam. The 1st speaker, Sister Farah Syakirah, was the 1st year student here. She reverted to Islam form Christian Catholic. The title of this post was taken form her words and for me, it became words of wisdom.

She told the members of the floor, that it's lucky for us, for being born as a Muslim. For herself, she needed to sacrifice her relationship with her family for choosing Islam as a way of life. Her father dumped her from being a daughter of the family, and from what i knew, she never returned home for 2 years. Subhanallah. She also told us to appreciate Islam that we had with us long ago, and be a better Muslim.

Now on, i have come to appreciate my deen (religion). I want to learn the similarities between us, and yet share with you what are the differences that define us. I want to share this 'love', so that we will together the obedient servant to Him, the Lord of these universes. I just really wanted to, wait for me.

Today's New Day

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Today, i have decided to start anew. A new day that only Allah would understand. He who the One that gave me strength to do what i supposed to do long ago. All praises be to Allah, I'm able to accomplished it the way it supposed to be. Now on and ever after, Allah is the only way of solution, to Him I worship, to Him again I ask for help.
You (alone) we worship, and You (alone) we ask for help. (1:5)
This evening, i was astounded by 3 presentation by 3 different speakers. Each of them relates, to a point of which, God exist. Similarly, all of them point towards that God is Allah, the only One, and no others except Him. Subhanallah. The seminar really strengthen my belief to Islam, the only religion chosen by Allah.

This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion (5:3)
"Oh Allah, keep us in the right path!" (1:6)

An Nahl : 125

(Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them with that which is best. Truly, your Lord best knows who has strayed from His path, and He best knows those who are guided.) (16:125)
Allah commands His Messenger Muhammad to invite the people to Allah with Hikmah (wisdom).

Ibn Jarir said: "That is what was revealed to him from the Book and the Sunnah.''
(and fair preaching)
meaning, with exhortation and stories of the events that happened to people that are mentioned in the Qur'an, which he is to tell them about in order to warn them of the punishment of Allah.
(and argue with them with that which is best.)
meaning, if any of them want to debate and argue, then let that be in the best manner, with kindness, gentleness and good speech, as Allah says elsewhere:
﴿وَلاَ تُجَـدِلُواْ أَهْلَ الْكِتَـبِ إِلاَّ بِالَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنْهُمْ﴾
(And do not argue with the People of the Book, unless it be with that which is best, except for those who purposefully do wrong.) (29:46)
Allah commanded him to speak gently, as He commanded Musa and Harun to do when he sent them to Pharaoh, as He said:
﴿فَقُولاَ لَهُ قَوْلاً لَّيِّناً لَّعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَى ﴾
(And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear (Allah))(20: 44).
(Truly, your Lord best knows who has strayed from His path,)
meaning, Allah already knows who is doomed (destined for Hell) and who is blessed (destined for Paradise). This has already been written with Him and the matter is finished, so call them to Allah, but do not exhaust yourself with regret over those who go astray, for it is not your task to guide them. You are just a warner, and all you have to do is convey the Message, and it is He Who will bring them to account.
(You cannot guide whom you love) (28:56)
(It is not up to you to guide them, but Allah guides whom He wills.) (2:72)

Ali 'Imran : 64

(64. Say: "O people of the Scripture: Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah the same, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah.'' Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims.'')
This Ayah includes the People of the Book, the Jews and Christians, and those who follow their ways.
(Say: "O people of the Scripture! Come to a word'')
`Word' - in Arabic - also means a complete sentence, as evident from this Ayah. Allah described this word as being one,
(that is the same between us and you),
an honest and righteous word that is fair to both parties. Allah then explained this word,
(that we worship none but Allah (Alone), and that we associate no partners with Him,)
we worship neither a statue, cross, idol, Taghut (false gods), fire or anything else. Rather, we worship Allah Alone without partners, and this is the message of all of Allah's Messengers.

Allah said,
(And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): "None has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)﴾"so worship Me (Alone and none else)'') (21:25)
and,
(And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities).'') (16:36)
Allah said next,
("and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah.'')
Ibn Jurayj commented, "We do not obey each other in disobedience to Allah.''
(Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims.'')
if they abandon this fair call, then let them know that you will remain in Islam as Allah has legislated for you.

We should mention that the letter that the Prophet sent to Heraclius reads,
"In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, to Heraclius, Leader of the Romans: peace be upon those who follow the true guidance. Embrace Islam and you will acquire safety, embrace Islam and Allah will grant you a double reward. However, if you turn away from it, then you will carry the burden of the peasants, and,
("O people of the Scripture: Come to a word that is the same between us and you, that we worship none but Allah (Alone), and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah.'' Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims.'')''

Muhammad bin Ishaq and other scholars said that the beginning of Surah Al `Imran, and more than eighty verses thereafter; were revealed about the delegation of Najran. Az-Zuhri stated that the people of Najran were the first people to pay the Jizyah (tax money paid to the Muslim State). However, there is no disagreement that the Ayah that ordained the Jizyah (9:29) was revealed after the Fath (conquering Makkah, and therefore, after the delegation of Najran came to Al-Madinah). So, how can this Ayah (3:64) be contained in the Prophet's letter to Heraclius before the victory of Makkah, and how can we harmonize between the statements of Muhammad bin Ishaq and Az-Zuhri?.

The answer is that the delegation of Najran came before Al-Hudaybiyyah (before the victory of Makkah), and what they paid was in lieu of the Mubahalah; not as Jizyah. The Ayah about the Jizyah was later revealed, and its ruling supported what occurred with the Najran people. In support of this opinion, we should mention that in another instance, the ruling on dividing the booty into one - fifth (for the Prophet ) and four-fifths (for the fighters) agreed with the practice of `Abdullah bin Jahsh during the raid that he led before Badr.

An Ayah later on upheld the way `Abdullah divided the booty. Therefore, it is possible that the Prophet wrote this statement (Say, "O People of the Scripture. ..'') in his letter to Heraclius before the Ayah was revealed. Later on, the Qur'an agreed with the Prophet's statement, word by word.

It is also a fact that the Qur'an was revealed in agreement with what `Umar said regarding the captured disbelievers at Badr, the Hijab (Muslim woman code of dress), refraining from performing prayer for the hypocrites, and regarding his statements:
﴿وَاتَّخِذُواْ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَهِيمَ مُصَلًّى﴾
(And take you the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.) (2:125),
 and,
(It may be if he divorced you (all) that his Lord will give him instead of you, wives better than you.) (66:5).

An-Nisa' : 82

Do they not then consider the Qur'an carefully Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely, have found therein contradictions in abundance). (An-Nisa' : 82)
Allah commands them to contemplate about the Qur'an and forbids them from ignoring it, or ignoring its wise meanings and eloquent words. Allah states that there are no inconsistencies, contradictions, conflicting statements or discrepancies in the Qur'an, because it is a revelation from the Most-Wise, Worthy of all praise. Therefore, the Qur'an is the truth coming from the Truth, Allah.

This is why Allah said in another Ayah,
(Do they not then think deeply in the Qur'an, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it))
Allah then said,
(Had it been from other than Allah,)
meaning, had it been fraudulent and made up, as the ignorant idolators and hypocrites assert in their hearts,
(they would surely, have found therein contradictions), discrepancies and inconsistencies,
(in abundance).

However, this Qur'an is free of shortcomings, and therefore, it is from Allah.

Similarly, Allah describes those who are firmly grounded in knowledge,
(We believe in it, all of it is from our Lord.) (Ali 'Imran : 7)
meaning, the Muhkam sections (entirely clear) and the Mutashabih sections (not entirely clear) of the Qur'an are all true. So they understand the not entirely clear from the clear, and thus gain guidance. As for those in whose heart is the disease of hypocrisy, they understand the Muhkam from the Mutashabih; thus only gaining misguidance. Allah praised those who have knowledge and criticized the wicked.

Imam Ahmad recorded that `Amr bin Shu`ayb said that his father said that his grandfather said,
"I and my brother were present in a gathering, which is more precious to me than red camels. My brother and I came and found that some of the leaders of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah were sitting close to a door of his. We did not like the idea of being separate from them, so we sat near the room. They then mentioned an Ayah and began disputing until they raised their voices. The Messenger of Allah was so angry that when he went out his face was red. He threw sand on them and said to them,

(Behold, O people! This is how the nations before you were destroyed, because of their disputing with their Prophets and their contradicting parts of the Books with other parts. The Qur'an does not contradict itself. Rather, it testifies to the truth of itself. Therefore, whatever of it you have knowledge in, then implement it, and whatever you do not know of it, then refer it to those who have knowledge in it. )"
Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin `Amr said,
"I went to the Messenger of Allah one day. When we were sitting, two men disputed about an Ayah, and their voices became loud. The Prophet said,
«إِنَّمَا هَلَكَتِ الْأُمَمُ قَبْلَكُمْ بِاخْتِلَافِهِمْ فِي الْكِتَاب»
(Verily, the nations before you were destroyed because of their disagreements over the Book.)
Muslim and An-Nasa'i recorded this Hadith.

Al-Maa-'idah : 32

...that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind...
(5:32)
Al-A`mash and others said that Abu Salih said that Abu Hurayrah said, "I entered on `Uthman when he was under siege in his house and said, `I came to give you my support. Now, it is good to fight (defending you) O Leader of the Faithful!' He said, `O Abu Hurayrah! Does it please you that you kill all people, including me' I said, `No.' He said, `If you kill one man, it is as if you killed all people. Therefore, go back with my permission for you to leave. May you receive your reward and be saved from burden.' So I went back and did not fight.'''

`Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn `Abbas said, "It is as Allah has stated, (if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.) Saving life in this case occurs by not killing a soul that Allah has forbidden. So this is the meaning of saving the life of all mankind, for whoever forbids killing a soul without justification, the lives of all people will be saved from him.''

Similar was said by Mujahid; (And if anyone saved a life...) means, he refrains from killing a soul.

Al-`Awfi reported that Ibn `Abbas said that Allah's statement, (it would be as if he killed all mankind. .) means, "Whoever kills one soul that Allah has forbidden killing, is just like he who kills all mankind.''

Sa`id bin Jubayr said, "He who allows himself to shed the blood of a Muslim, is like he who allows shedding the blood of all people. He who forbids shedding the blood of one Muslim, is like he who forbids shedding the blood of all people.''

In addition, Ibn Jurayj said that Al-A`raj said that Mujahid commented on the Ayah, (it would be as if he killed all mankind,) "He who kills a believing soul intentionally, Allah makes the Fire of Hell his abode, He will become angry with him, and curse him, and has prepared a tremendous punishment for him, equal to if he had killed all people, his punishment will still be the same.''

Ibn Jurayj said that Mujahid said that the Ayah, (and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.) means, "He who does not kill anyone, then the lives of people are safe from him.''

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

It'd been long since my last post. I barely had time to spend with my current health condition. I still had my hypersomnia, fatigue, and few other symptoms. I thought it might be caused by stresses that i had to endure along this few years. Hopefully it will go away after next month, since I'll finish 'career' as a student's leader. Otherwise, I'll just go for few psychiatric follow-ups. And once again, hopefully it won't have to go that way.

I'd been busy 'again' this few weeks, as lots of student came and asked for lots of thing. Few issues came out, and praise be to Allah, those issues been managed well by my organization. What's interesting is I'd involved in lots of consultation regarding student's programs. Few had attended me as their consultant. I feel funny about this, but it's one of the scope of being a student's leader here.

With 30 days to go, I'll face my examination. Up until now, I never 'wholeheartedly' focusing on my study and preparation for examination. Pray for me so that I'll do well with this examination!.

I’m Getting Nervous

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, all praises unto Him.
There’s a lot of things i kept to myself for a long time. This time, i won’t anymore. There’s nothing actually that separate a human and his God. I been thinking for a while, and try to search anything that possibly can be the wall between us, and there’s still nothing.

The nothingness given me hope, that i should try my best, to get the best out of myself. In this current situation, it means my health. I really really hope that, whatever gonna be the result, i will accept it as the fate written upon me. I’ll be glad if the result give me the enough time to be with my beloved family, and my friends. I won’t ask for long, just a few years are enough for me.

For few days, i’d been kept dreaming of being in front of Kaaba, performing my prayer. I really miss the time i was able to go there and performed umrah with my parent and a brother of mine. I, really hope for the remaining of the days i have, i will be able to go there once again, and meet Him. I mean it wholeheartedly.
